According to initial information, nine fans and ten police officers were injured in the operation. The meeting in the Munich suburb of Heimstetten was finally canceled.
The Greens in the Bavarian state parliament are critical: "After talking to those affected and looking at the videos circulating on the Internet, the police operation with a total of 19 injuries seems completely disproportionate and excessively harsh," said sports policy spokesman Max Deisenhofer.
