Bayreuth (dpa / lby) - After a knife attack on a young man in Bayreuth, a youth was sentenced to several years in prison. From the point of view of the youth chamber of the Bayreuth district court, it is clear that the then 17-year-old stabbed a then 20-year-old in the stomach in November 2021 in Bayreuth, causing the victim life-threatening injuries. A dispute preceded the attack. The accused was sentenced to four years' youth imprisonment, and the court on Tuesday ordered him to be placed in a reformatory.
The public prosecutor had spoken in the indictment of attempted manslaughter, but the court did not follow that. An intention to kill could not be determined during the extensive taking of evidence - the young person was accordingly convicted of dangerous bodily harm. He is considered fully culpable. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
