Bavaria: motorcyclist falls down an embankment and dies

Griesstätt (dpa / lby) - A motorcyclist left a road in Upper Bavaria, fell down an embankment and died as a result of his injuries. The 56-year-old was driving his machine near Griesstätt (Rosenheim district) on Saturday when he lost control in a left-hand bend in front of a bridge, the police said on Sunday. According to the information, he did not succeed in braking on the green strip. First responders and paramedics tried to revive the man, but he died at the scene. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
