Bavaria: One dead and three injured in an accident in Central Franconia

Neunkirchen am Sand (dpa / lby) - A driver died in an accident in Central Franconia and three other men were moderately injured. As the police announced, a 56-year-old man was driving his car on the federal highway 14 near Neunkirchen am Sand (Nuremberg Land district) on Thursday when he got into oncoming traffic for an initially unknown reason. He collided head-on with an oncoming van. The man died at the scene of the accident. His 18-year-old passenger and the two 28-year-old men in the van were taken to hospitals with moderate injuries. The B14 was closed in both directions for several hours.
