Bavaria: pregnant woman missing: police have “no anchor point”

Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - There is still no trace of the pregnant woman from Nuremberg who has been missing for days. The 24-strong special commission continues to work on the case, a police spokesman said on Sunday. There were no targeted search measures over the weekend. "There is no specific anchor point to look at at all, it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack," the spokesman said. Both a mobile phone location and the questioning of relatives as well as the use of search dogs at the woman's home address have so far led to no trace.

For the investigators, there was growing evidence that the disappearance of the 39-year-old could be the result of a crime, a police spokesman emphasized on Friday.

The woman's cash, ID and maternity passport were still at her place of residence. The investigators therefore assumed that the woman did not plan or leave voluntarily. Her partner had reported the eight-month-pregnant woman missing on Friday last week because she had previously disappeared without a trace.
