Striker Ragnar Ache had the winning goal on his feet in the closing stages. But the 24-year-old's shot landed on the post (84th minute). So it remained with the return of ex-coach Stefan Leitl in the Fürther Ronhof between the game association and Hannover 96 in a hard-fought game of the 2nd Bundesliga at 1: 1 (0: 0).

A physical effort by Hanover's Luka Krajnc against Ache (35') provided the biggest topic of discussion in the first half. Heft initially decided on a penalty. The referee corrected the decision after viewing the video images – in contrast to the situation before the 1: 1.
