Wettringen (dpa/lby) - Three police officers were injured when a rioting guest was arrested at a New Year's Eve celebration in Central Franconia. One of the officers was so badly injured by a kick in the shoulder that he had to be taken to a hospital, police said on Monday. When the 24-year-old resisted his arrest at a family celebration in Wettringen on New Year's morning, two other police officers were also slightly injured.
Relatives had previously called the police because the 24-year-old rioted and attacked other members of the family. The man was placed in a clinic. A police spokesman did not want to give the reason for this when asked on Monday.
