Windorf (dpa / lby) - A collision of two articulated lorries on Autobahn 3 near Windorf in Lower Bavaria (Passau district) caused damage of around 116,000 euros. As the police announced on Tuesday, neither of the two truck drivers was injured. On Monday evening, a 46-year-old driver of a semi-trailer truck drove from the hard shoulder onto the motorway and blocked both lanes. According to the information, a 36-year-old truck driver could no longer avoid it - his vehicle first collided with the truck and then against the middle plank.
The police assume that the 46-year-old's health problems caused the accident. His truck was so badly damaged that emergency services towed the vehicle. The second man was able to continue driving after the accident was recorded.
