Augsburg (dpa / lby) - The Augsburg ice hockey professional Wade Bergman (32) will not return to the ice this season. Due to a hand injury in the away game in Schwenningen, the defender at the Augsburg Panthers will be out for several weeks, as the club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced on Tuesday. On Friday, Augsburg suffered a 3-0 defeat against the Schwenninger Wild Wings.
The use of the recently injured Panther strikers David Stieler (34) and Matt Puempel (30) also remains questionable. The team doctors were able to give the all-clear for the latter: "Detailed examinations did not confirm the lower body injury that was initially feared," the club said. Stieler has a slight upper body injury.
