After an attack in Belfast city centre, Saturday's assault left a man in his 30s with serious facial injuries.
Police were notified of the incident in Castle Street shortly after 22.50 BST on Saturday.
Police arrived on the scene to find that the man was unconscious. Police suspect that he was punched several times.
He was taken to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of several offences.
Police ask anyone with any information to get in touch.
