Bradford teenager admits to killing three people in a wrong-way M606 crash

After three victims were killed in a car accident on Bradford's motorway, a 16-year old boy admitted to dangerous driving.

On 13 June, the teenager was driving his van wrongly down the M606 when he collided with a taxi.

Sohail Ali, a taxi driver, and Simon McHugh, his passenger, both died in the same accident as van passenger Kyden Leadbeater.

The boy, who cannot yet be identified, admitted to the charges at Bradford Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody.

On the 1st of August, he will appear at Bradford Crown Court.

Police were following the van shortly after it made a wrong turn onto a motorway.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) was referred to West Yorkshire Police.

According to the IOPC, initial investigations indicated that the van was stolen. However, police did not follow it onto the motorway.
