Haute-Savoie. Plant fire at the Romme's heights in Nancy-sur-Cluses

Two sector residents gave the alarm on Thursday, July 7. The fire broke out at the base of the cliff in a difficult-to-reach area. It was located at the Chemin de la Tete de Romme in Nancy-sur-Cluses. The fire was contained by Cluses firefighters, who were deployed at 10:30 p.m.

On Friday morning, fifteen firefighters were again deployed to water and control the fire on the cliff.

Although the cause of the fire is not known, it's possible that lightning caused the fire to start. This was observed in the sector on Monday morning. The fire would have then been inactive for several days before it finally broke out.

There are no homes in the area.
