Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - After finding the body of a 53-year-old man in a Frankfurt apartment, the police are investigating in all directions. The 44-year-old tenant of the apartment, who was temporarily arrested, is not currently under suspicion, said a police spokesman in Frankfurt on Tuesday. The body was found last Friday. There was a stab wound on his body. The cause of death was initially just as unclear as the question of whether the place where it was found was also the scene of the crime.
The dead man may have been in the apartment for several days. According to the information, he was known from the drug scene. 44-year-old tenants of the apartment informed a street worker about the body on Friday. He was arrested for the time being, but the suspicion against him was not confirmed, after which he was released. The homicide commission of the Frankfurt criminal police is investigating.
