The 23-year-old had two prostitutes come to a hotel in the station district early Tuesday morning and wanted to force them to take drugs, a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor said on request. The women refused and were then threatened with a knife. However, they could have escaped. During the subsequent police operation, the 23-year-old seriously injured a police dog with a knife. When the situation escalated, the shot was fired. First, the "Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung" reported online about the new details.
In addition to the knife, the man is said to have had a firearm, which was not used. The 23-year-old without a home was seriously injured in the operation with special forces on Tuesday morning and later died.
