Hesse: dressage rider Rath wins Grand Prix Special in Frankfurt

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) - The Kronberg dressage rider Matthias Alexander Rath won the Grand Prix Special of the Frankfurt Festhallen horse show for the first time on Saturday morning. The judges rated his performance with Destacado with 74.596 percent. Second was Patrik Kittel of Sweden with Forever Young (73.170), followed by Stefan Lehfellner of Austria with Roberto Carlos (72.362). Rath organizes the traditional tournament together with his family. The final test of the Grand Prix Tour for the dressage riders is the freestyle on Sunday, where the multiple Olympic champion Isabell Werth, among others, will be at the start.
