Frankfurt / Main (dpa / lhe) - After the verdict in the process of violent death of a 100-year-old senior, the defense of the alleged perpetrator has appealed to the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe. The Frankfurt Regional Court confirmed this on Thursday on request. The 42-year-old was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder last Friday. According to the jury, she suffocated the 100-year-old in her apartment in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen with a pillow in January last year.
While the verdict coincided with the prosecutor's complaint, the defense attorney had asked for an acquittal because of numerous doubts. The woman, who was arrested a few weeks after the crime, had remained silent on the murder allegation in court.
