Hesse: Poseck presents plans for more staff in the judiciary

Wiesbaden (dpa/lhe) - Minister of Justice Roman Poseck (CDU) wants to inform in Wiesbaden today about planned additional positions for the Hessian judiciary. The draft of the state double budget 2023/24 presented last week provides for 477 new jobs. Poseck wants to explain where these should be created and how the Hessian judiciary wants to become more attractive as an employer.

In response to a parliamentary question in the state parliament, the state government announced in the summer that it wanted to increase the number of staff in courts and public prosecutors. This is also intended to avoid arrest warrants having to be lifted because the proceedings took too long. This year, the Frankfurt Higher Regional Court ordered the release of six suspected criminals because the proceedings were too long.
