Hesse: too few operational trams: replacement buses

Darmstadt (dpa / lhe) - Due to a lack of spare parts for trams, buses are now increasingly being used in Darmstadt. Replacement buses will be running on line 4 between the districts of Arheilgen and Kranichstein from October 31st, as the city and the transport company HEAG mobilo announced on Wednesday. In the past few weeks, trips have repeatedly had to be canceled because there were not enough trams available. The reason for the lack of spare parts is delivery bottlenecks due to the ongoing Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. In addition, there have recently been several accidents, which have further reduced the number of operational trains.
