Lilibet celebrates with Lilibet: Prince Harry is said to bring his daughter to England

Queen Elizabeth II is even said to skip the horse races in Epsom for this. Prince Harry is reportedly planning to bring his daughter Lilibet to England for his grandmother's 70th anniversary. It would be the first time the monarch has seen the child.

Queen Elizabeth II will reportedly first meet Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's daughter Lilibet at her great-granddaughter's birthday party at Frogmore Cottage. The girl will be one year old on June 4th. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are arriving in England from the US to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

The monarch has yet to see the California-born child. Harry and Meghan paid tribute to the Queen by choosing a name for their daughter - Lilibet is also the nickname of Elizabeth II.

Princess Eugenie, her husband Jack Brooksbank and their son August, who have lived in Frogmore Cottage since the Sussexes moved to the United States in early 2020, are said to have moved in the meantime. Harry, Meghan, Lilibet and their three-year-old brother Archie are said to be staying at the cottage while they are in England.

According to media reports, Lilibet's first birthday will also be celebrated next Saturday at Frogmore Cottage. The property is close to Windsor Castle, the Queen's main residence.

But the Queen will "probably miss her favorite sporting event, the horse races in Epsom", according to "The Sun". It is "increasingly unlikely" that the Queen will be able to travel to the Epsom Derby, the newspaper said. The 96-year-old has been struggling with mobility problems for several months. In addition, according to the report, none of their horses will start in the derby.

It is said to be only the third time that the queen has been absent from the horse race. In 1956 and 1984 she traveled abroad. Princess Anne is set to fill in for her mother on June 4 and will represent the royal family there this year.

The main jubilee celebrations begin on Thursday and last for four days. The Queen waves from the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Trooping the Color parade. A thanksgiving service for the Queen will be held a day later, on June 3, at London's St Paul's Cathedral. The monarch is also expected here. Meghan and Harry are also expected to take part.

In addition to the Epsom Derby, the "Platinum Party" with stars from all over the world is also planned at Buckingham Palace on Saturday. The band Queen, Diana Ross and Duran Duran are just a few of the prominent names in the line-up. 22,000 spectators are expected to attend the event.

The weekend will be rounded off on Sunday with the big anniversary lunch. Over 60,000 people across the UK are said to have registered to host community meals in their neighborhoods this weekend. The aim is to make new friends and celebrate the Queen together.

Last but not least, the Queen's Jubilee Pageant will take place on Sunday. Over 10,000 people are involved in the move, including the military. The late Prince Philip will also be honored during the event. Superstar Ed Sheeran is set to sing his song 'Perfect' while photos of the royal couple are shown.
