Mühlengeez (dpa/mv) - The Agrargesellschaft am Landgraben Zinzow mbH (Vorpommern-Greifswald) is the "Agricultural Training Company of the Year 2022" in the north-east. The company with 24 employees received the award on Thursday at the start of the Mela agricultural fair in Mühlengeez (Rostock district). The farm cultivates around 600 hectares of land on the border between Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania, offers agricultural services and is particularly closely networked with training companies at home and abroad, said the President of the State Farmers' Association MV Detlef Kurreck.
Apprentices and graduates of a dual agricultural course, which is also offered, can complete internships in France and Austria, among other things. This also secures the offspring that the industry is looking for. "When you become a farmer, the world is your oyster," said Kurreck. The company has also been implementing an EU project for more insect and plant diversity in small bodies of water for several years. The award is given once a year and is not endowed.
