Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Apartment building evacuated after gas boiler explosion

Dargun (dpa / mv) - After the explosion of the boiler of a gas boiler in an apartment building in Dargun (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district), the fire brigade evacuated the entire building. No one was injured in the incident on Christmas Eve, police said. The residents of the house were taken to safety as a precaution. According to a heating technician, the device had probably exploded due to a technical defect. Since the heating system will be taken out of service until the repair work is completed, the residents of the house stayed with friends. There was damage of around 20,000 euros.
