Stralsund (dpa / mv) - Stralsund University of Applied Sciences will be under new management from Wednesday. The new rector is Ralph Sonntag, a business graduate, the Ministry of Science announced on Tuesday. The previous Rector Petra Maier did not stand for re-election.
Born in Fulda, Hesse, in 1968, Sonntag studied business administration in Würzburg and did my doctorate in Dresden in the field of business informatics. He has also worked in the private sector and has held various positions at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences since 2004, such as Professor of Marketing, Prorector and, since 2020, Dean of the Faculty of Economics. The Schwerin Science Minister Bettina Martin (SPD) praised him as a "highly qualified scientist" and "experienced and excellently networked personality".
