Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: E-car drivers stopped too much with a trailer load of 1.4 tons

Stralsund (dpa / mv) - The police in Stralsund are investigating a 19-year-old electric car driver from Western Pomerania who had loaded a trailer that was too heavy. As a police spokesman said on Wednesday, the novice driver was stopped a few days ago on the federal highway 96 near Stralsund with 1.4 tons too much trailer load. The man had coupled a trailer with a wheel loader to the heavy electric car, which weighed a total of more than 3.6 tons. A maximum trailer load of 2.2 tons was permitted. The driver had to organize the transport differently and can now expect at least one point in the traffic offender file and a fine of almost 400 euros.
