Knüppeldamm (dpa / mv) - A holiday home in the Mecklenburg Lake District burned down to the ground on Tuesday. In addition, between the towns of Knüppeldamm and Massow, a neighboring rye field burned on an area of two hectares. As the police headquarters in Neubrandenburg announced on Wednesday, the criminal police began investigating suspected negligent arson. Despite the efforts of 64 volunteer firefighters, the house burned down completely. The total property damage is estimated at around 160,000 euros.
