Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: horse owner forgets handbrake: property damage

Picher (dpa / mv) - The open tailgate of a loaded horse trailer caused a car accident in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim and a lot of excitement about a fleeing horse. As a police spokesman explained on Thursday, it was probably a chain of unfortunate circumstances that ended in damage of several thousand euros. A 24-year-old driver had noticed the open flap. She overtook the driver of the team and gave him signs. Both stopped. At that moment the horse fled.

The 32-year-old driver of the team ran backwards to catch the horse but forgot to put the handbrake on his car. The wagon and horse trailer rolled into the woman's car, which was damaged. District road 34 was temporarily closed for rescue. The horse was recaptured unharmed.
