Rostock (dpa/mv) - In view of the developments in Iran, the Medical Association of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania has called on its colleagues there to continue to adhere to international ethical guidelines. They support the efforts of the Medical Council of the Islamic Republic to follow and propagate rules such as the renunciation of torture and impartiality in the practice of the profession, the association said in a resolution on Monday in Rostock.
It was also said that it was noted with respect that these rules were defended "under what is likely to be high pressure from various political and social quarters".
