Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Property damage after a fire in a vacant house in Schönberg

Schönberg (dpa / mv) - A fire in a vacant single-family house in Schönberg (Northwest Mecklenburg district) caused around 30,000 euros in damage on Saturday evening. The police said it was being investigated on suspicion of arson. A witness heard a loud bang around 9:20 p.m., noticed the glow of fire and alerted the fire brigade. In the meantime, residents had to evacuate surrounding buildings. At around 12:30 a.m., firefighters called it off.
