Witten (dpa / lnw) - A 17-year-old fell under a parking car in a parking lot in Witten near Bochum and was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The young man belonged to a group of young people who had built up in front of an 18-year-old car rolling forward out of a parking box and smeared the bonnet with dirt on it, the police said. According to testimonies, the 17-year-old then stumbled and fell under the vehicle that was still rolling.
The police are still investigating why the vehicle continued to roll. According to witnesses, the 18-year-old driver did not intentionally accelerate, it said. The statement of the seriously injured is also pending.
