North Rhine-Westphalia: 46-year-old drives on parked trucks and dies

Bergkamen (dpa / lnw) - A 46-year-old driver drove into a truck parked on the side of the road in Bergkamen in the Ruhr area without braking and died. His 46-year-old passenger suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident on Sunday evening. It was initially unclear why the driver left the road to the right and hit the truck. He died at the scene of the accident. The passenger was taken to the hospital, police said on Monday. The road was closed for five hours and the police began investigating the cause of the accident.
