North Rhine-Westphalia: 82-year-old is run over by trucks and survives

Bochum (dpa / lnw) - An 82-year-old was hit and run over by a truck in Bochum. She survived the accident with only minor injuries, police said on Friday. The elderly woman wanted to cross the street in front of a truck that stopped on Thursday when the 58-year-old driver drove up and hit her. The 82-year-old fell onto the street and was run over lengthwise, but then got up on her own and was responsive. She was then taken to the hospital. The accident site remained temporarily closed after the accident on Thursday.
