North Rhine-Westphalia: After a 9-euro ticket: NRW transport associations with a campaign

Essen (dpa / lnw) - After the expiry of the nationwide 9-euro ticket on August 31, the local transport associations in North Rhine-Westphalia are starting the autumn with a joint customer campaign. If you have a subscription ticket, you can use buses, trains and local trains throughout North Rhine-Westphalia on all weekends in September and October at no additional cost. This was announced by the transport associations Rhein-Ruhr (VRR) and Rhein-Sieg (VRS), the Zweckverband Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe (NWL) and the Westfalen-Tarif.

According to the information, the offer relates to all weekends in the campaign period September and October, to the Day of German Unity on October 3rd and to every day in the NRW autumn holidays (October 4th to 14th).

Throughout Germany, the debate about a permanent, favorable successor arrangement for the 9-euro ticket, which has been successful over the past three months, continues.

During the campaign periods in the next two months, the carriage regulations in NRW will also be adjusted: two more people and up to three children (up to and including 14 years of age) or two people and up to two bicycles may travel with each ticket. Time restrictions, such as 9 a.m. subscriptions, will be lifted during promotional periods.
