Gronau (dpa / lnw) - A bather attacked a lifeguard in Gronau in western Münsterland because she had expelled him from the pool. The woman was slightly injured. Other guests in the outdoor pool had previously complained about the man because he kept spraying them wet, the police said on Friday. The lifeguard therefore asked him to leave the pool for a while. As the dispute escalated further, she referred him to the bathroom.
The approximately 20-year-old man did not want to accept that and grabbed the lifeguard, pulled a few meters over the pavement and tried to throw her into the pool. When he realized the police were approaching, he fled.
