Bad Wünnenberg (dpa / lnw) - A young driver was trapped and critically injured in an accident on the A33 near Bad Wünnenberg (Paderborn district). Another driver suffered serious injuries, according to the Bielefeld police. On Wednesday afternoon there was a traffic jam in the direction of Brilon, between the Etteln junction and the Bad Wünnenberg motorway junction. The 58-year-old driver overlooked this and drove unchecked into the 21-year-old's car. As a result, she was pushed with her car under the trailer of the truck waiting in front of her and trapped.

The road towards Brilon was completely closed for around three hours. According to the police, there was a backlog of ten kilometers at times.
