Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - Without a driver's license and under the influence of drugs, a 22-year-old driver in Dortmund fled from a traffic check before the police. After a chase, the car stopped – but his 21-year-old passenger was behind the wheel, the police said on Tuesday. The police had previously wanted to stop the man on Monday, but he suddenly accelerated. Since he was still in driving school, he had fled in panic, he said.
The 22-year-old is now being investigated for endangering road traffic and driving prohibited races. After positive rapid drug tests and blood samples taken at the station, both the 22-year-old and his passenger have to answer for driving under the influence of narcotics.
