Augustdorf (dpa / lnw) - In a house fire in Augustdorf near Bielefeld, emergency services discovered a lifeless couple. Any help came too late for the 65-year-old woman, the police said on Tuesday. The 67-year-old husband was initially resuscitated by rescue workers early Monday evening, it said. But he also died shortly afterwards. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were initially unclear. The police took over the investigation. The bodies should be autopsied.
