North Rhine-Westphalia: Hotel employees are said to have staged a raid on the hotel

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - A raid on a Bonn hotel is said to have been staged by an employee. The 27-year-old, who worked at the reception on the day of the crime, made a confession, the police said on Friday. Accordingly, a 21-year-old accomplice of the man committed the alleged robbery and stole cash ten days ago. According to the police, the 27-year-old and his buddy came under suspicion in the course of the investigation. Officers then searched the homes of the two men and found, among other things, the knife used in the crime and parts of the loot.

The two suspects are also said to be responsible for a theft from a Bonn hotel in September, where the 27-year-old also worked as a receptionist. At the time, he stated that he had briefly left the reception area on the night of the crime because of a disturbance of the peace. After his return, 1600 euros would have been missing from the till. In this case, too, the 21-year-old is said to have cleared the till as an accomplice.
