North Rhine-Westphalia: Large-scale operation at school: respiratory irritation in 20 students

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - In a school in Hagen, around 20 students suffered respiratory irritation from pepper spray. The fire brigade reported on Monday from a large-scale operation at a secondary school in the morning. Several people complained about irritation. The building had been evacuated and ventilation measures had also been initiated. Emergency services looked after the students.

A police spokesman said the complaints were triggered by pepper spray. It is not yet possible to say whether the students affected were slightly injured or whether some would have to go to the hospital. It was initially unclear who sprayed the pepper spray where exactly in the school.
