North Rhine-Westphalia: Man hit by a car after a wildlife accident and seriously injured

Kerpen (dpa / lnw) - After a wildlife accident south of Kerpen near Cologne, a man was hit by a car and taken to a hospital with serious injuries. According to a police report, the 64-year-old was a passenger in the car of a 20-year-old who collided with a deer on a country road in the dark. Both men got out of the car and secured the injured animal. A 30-year-old noticed this too late when approaching the scene of the accident and hit the 64-year-old with his car head-on.
