Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A young speeder caused a serious traffic accident in Cologne with a seriously injured person and then fled the scene of the accident with his two vehicle occupants. According to a police report, an SUV drove through the Poll district on the right bank of the Rhine on Friday evening at significantly excessive speed and collided with a car that was just parking. This was thrown into two other parked cars. The driver of the parking vehicle (21) suffered minor injuries and the passenger (20) was seriously injured. Witnesses cared for the injured until paramedics arrived.
The three occupants of the SUV, which crashed into another parked car, fled the scene. A little later, however, one of the occupants (15) returned to the scene of the accident with his father (41), the owner of the SUV, and stated that an 18-year-old was behind the wheel. The police met the 18-year-old at his home address, but according to the statement he did not provide any information about the allegation. The police are asking for witnesses and are primarily looking for the third vehicle occupant.
