North Rhine-Westphalia: survey: black-green in NRW ahead

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - A good five months after the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, the governing coalition of CDU and Greens under CDU Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst is further ahead in the state. This is the result of a survey conducted by the opinion research company Infratest dimap on behalf of the WDR magazine Westpol last week.

If there were a state election this Sunday, according to the survey, 32 percent of those entitled to vote would vote for the CDU (35.7 percent in the state election). The SPD would deteriorate from 26.7 percent in May to 23 percent, the Greens would increase to 22 percent (18.2 in May). Black-Green could thus defend the state parliament majority.

According to the survey, the FDP slipped from 5.9 percent in May to 5 percent and would then have to worry about their state parliament seats. The AfD increases from 5.4 to 9 percent.
