North Rhine-Westphalia: Three injured in a cellar fire in Düsseldorf

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Three people were injured in a fire in an apartment building in Düsseldorf on Saturday. The fire broke out in a basement at noon, the fire department said. Many residents could have saved themselves outside, one person had been taken out of the house. Four apartments were opened by force because it could not be ruled out that people were still there. According to the fire brigade, four apartments are currently uninhabitable due to destroyed electrical cables. Residents have been accommodated in hotels. Firefighters did not provide any information about the cause of the fire.
