North Rhine-Westphalia: Three seriously injured in a car accident near Brakel

Brakel (dpa / lnw) - In a car accident near Brakel, three people were seriously injured. A 55-year-old had collided with his car on Tuesday afternoon when turning left with a car in oncoming traffic, the police said in the evening. Both vehicles landed in the ditch. The 52-year-old driver of the oncoming car was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters. A rescue helicopter took him to a hospital. His passenger and the 55-year-old were also taken to hospitals with serious injuries. According to the police, the property damage is around 100,000 euros.
