North Rhine-Westphalia: "Tough, dirty, flawed": Coach Kramer is very critical

Lohne / Gelsenkirchen (dpa / lnw) - After the 7-0 (6-0) win of Bundesliga promoted FC Schalke 04 in a test with the upper division soccer team BW Lohne, the new coach Frank Kramer clearly criticized the attitude of some players. "First half 6-0, second half 1-0, that's clear," said Kramer of "WAZ" after the second friendly in preparation for the new season. "I expect a lot more in all areas. It was tough, unclean, flawed."

Danny Latza (10th and 39th minute), the new signings Sebastian Polter (15th and 27th) and Florent Mollet (28th) as well as striker Simon Terodde (34th) had underlined a convincing performance of the Royal Blues in the first half with their goals . To Kramer's annoyance, however, the second eleven could not build on this, only Marvin Pieringer (54th) was still on the top scorer list. In the first half it was "more fluid, clearer" and the team had "better control".

The new coach therefore sent a clear message to the players. "A preparation is there to offer yourself, to recommend yourself for the season. The guys who were on the pitch in the second half are asked to do it differently. Every individual has to question themselves," said the 50-year-old . In the first preparatory game, the team had won 14:0 against VfB Hüls. Schalke completed the next tests in Gelsenkirchen against SC Verl (July 6th) and SV Meppen (July 9th).
