Half of the Vox Directorate in Cantabria has resigned with less than a month and a half to go before the municipal and regional elections. Among the four who have resigned for "lack of respect and compliance with the agreements" that the party had reached with them is Santander councilor Guillermo Pérez-Cosío.

Together with him, the vice president of Vox in Cantabria, Jaime Sánchez, has resigned; the secretary, Luis Vázquez, who was going to be the party's candidate in Santa Cruz de Bezana, and the manager Carlos Michael Cortés, as confirmed by some of those involved.

As they have clarified, the agreements to which the party chaired in Cantabria by Emilio del Valle, national deputy and Vox candidate for Mayor of Santander, have been taking place since last October and have clarified that they not only have to do with the preparation of the candidacies for the 28th of May.

Today they are scheduled to meet with the territorial coordinators of the party and have indicated that, soon, they plan to appear at a press conference to explain in more detail what happened.

For their part, from Vox they have not confirmed the resignations and have assured that for now "there is nothing" and, if there was, they would report it through a statement.
