Saxony-Anhalt: 70-year-old driver drives against a tree: seriously injured

Salzwedel (dpa/sa) - A 70-year-old woman drove her car off the B190 (Salzwedel district), hit a tree and was seriously injured. It is still unclear why the elderly woman lost control of her vehicle between Ritzleben and Binden on Tuesday afternoon, as the police announced on Wednesday morning. Accordingly, the driver and her 64-year-old passenger had to be freed from the vehicle after the collision by emergency services and taken to a hospital. According to the police, federal highway 190 remained closed for about an hour and a half during the salvage work.
