Scholz spoke on Monday in the nuclear dispute between the Greens and the FDP. The Chancellor instructed the responsible federal ministries to make legislative proposals so that the three power plants Isar 2, Neckarwestheim 2 and Emsland can continue to run until April 15, 2023 at the latest.
The operation of the nuclear power plants is an important signal for grid stability and climate protection, said Hüskens. "Our safe nuclear power plants make an important contribution to securing our power supply." With continued operation, a signal is sent to the markets that more electricity will be available in winter. "That lowers prices and increases the planning security of people and companies in Saxony-Anhalt."
