Berlin / Schönebeck (dpa / sa) - The construction of the planned factory of the Berlin ice cream manufacturer Florida Eis in Schönebeck has been delayed. Instead of May, work will start in July at the latest, said company boss Olaf Höhn on Wednesday. The preliminary planning took a little longer. First "Radio SAW" had reported about it.
Höhn explained that the building should have a special exterior facade. This will “reflect climate change”. But he remains deliberately vague on this - the rest is a "surprise".
Höhn wants to produce ice cream in Schönebeck (Salzland district) from 2024. He's sticking to that, said Höhn. Then 40,000 to 70,000 packs per day and around 5,000 tons of ice cream per year could be produced and up to 250 people could be employed in the future. A gastronomic offer in Schönebeck is also planned.
