"We don't want to leave the small and medium-sized trade and construction companies alone with this development and do justice to our responsibility as a reliable partner to the construction industry," said Finance Minister Michael Richter (CDU) in Magdeburg. Under certain conditions, contractors could invoice contracting authorities for price surcharges.
The state is now extending a decree that was originally valid until the middle of the year until the end of 2022. The calculation and price risk for building construction measures in the state does not remain with the companies alone. Adjustments to the prices are possible. This is particularly the case when an entrepreneur has no influence on the development of purchase prices for building materials and he was unable to assess them when making the calculation. Other building material groups would also be included.
