Saxony-Anhalt: More potato products imported than exported

Halle (dpa/sa) - Saxony-Anhalt imported potatoes and potato products worth 13.6 million euros last year. They were mainly imported from the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Halle on the occasion of Potato Day (19 August). Potatoes and potato products were exported for 8.7 million euros. The most important export countries were Japan and the Czech Republic. The data are based on preliminary information.
