Saxony-Anhalt: Numerous changes in state-wide train traffic

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - On December 11, a new timetable for regional and S-Bahn trains will come into force for Saxony-Anhalt. Changes in departure times, capacities and additional train offers are planned, said the Saxony-Anhalt local transport service (Nasa) on Monday. Among other things, the Ostdeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft (Odeg) takes over the regional train service between Magdeburg and Frankfurt (Oder). More seats should be offered. In addition, the departure times will be adjusted so that transfers to long-distance trains are easier to manage.

There will also be changed departure times for the regional train 40 with stations in Magdeburg and Braunschweig. In addition, the first trip from Marienborn is canceled "due to low demand," said a NASA spokesman. Travel times have changed on numerous routes due to construction work.
